A great piece of
literature design should set the tone and reflect the face of the company,
or product, it is talking about.
Whether it be a sales, marketing, or corporate piece, the end result
should be the same. Excellent typography, photography, illustration combined
with great layout. Furthermore, the understanding of printing techniques
and the many varieties of papers add to the overall uniqueness of the
piece.
The unique ‘factor’ sets the piece apart from others and
gives it an identity all of its own. The essence ultimately is something
that reads well, looks fantastic and is perceived to be something of value
or worth holding onto.
